THE MASONIC PHILATELIC CLUB BY-LAWS

Dated 9 April 2010

 

1.  The Club shall be called the Masonic Philatelic Club and shall be governed by a Committee elected by the members at an Annual General Meeting to be held in the autumn of each year.

 

2.  All the Officers shall be elected by a show of hands at the A.G.M. and the Committee shall have the power to co-opt members for specific purposes.

 

3.  The Committee shall decide, taking into account the general good of the members, the venue of each  A.G.M.

 

4. The general body of members at each A.G.M. shall nominate and appoint two Auditors.  The accounts of the Club shall be made up to the 30th September and presented to the Club, duly audited, at the A.G.M.

 

5 .  Membership shall be open to all Freemasons within the English Constitution who are in good standing with their Lodge, and to Freemasons of other Constitutions recognised by that body.

 

6.  Membership shall be denied to all persons, however well qualified, if it is the opinion of the Committee that they wish to become members for personal financial gain or are likely by their conduct to bring the Club into disrepute.  

 

7.  Any member may resign by giving one calendar months notice to the Secretary but may not be entitled to any re-imbursement of his annual subscription for the year during which he resigns.  

 

8. The annual subscription shall be £8.00 for members residing in the United Kingdom, £10.00 for those residing in Europe and £12.00 for members residing elsewhere, or such sums as the Committee shall decide upon from time to time, subject to the confirmation of the A.G.M.

 

9.   All cheques must bear the signature of an official of the Club.

 

10. A regular inventory of any property acquired by the Club shall be maintained.

 

11. Additions, alterations or amendments to these rules or any of them shall be made by Notice of Motion given in  writing to the Secretary, by any member not less than one month prior to the A.G.M. for inclusion in the agenda.  The  Motion shall be considered at the A.G.M. and if approved shall become effective immediately.
